Spells can wait!!

Is the winter!! we all get a little lazy and drinking more coffee than what I need. IS easy to do nothing it all. My inside Goddess is telling me do something, so I go and clean-up the kitchen ,the showers, do more Laundry, and is never done. So I decide Holidays are for just doing nothing at all. I got a few books as a gifts from my friends, and busy busy had no time to open then, until last night. Boy oh boy my friends know me. I love Janet Evanovich books, she is fanny , keep you going and no harm done to your brain. So I got one of her latest books. Is a funny novel and it takes place on my favorite town" Salem, Ma" . Cool !!!So I m here just reading and enjoying a goofy witch who doesn't have clue what is to be a "witch" it all. The book name is "Wicked Appetite" All of you may like to read from time to time some good sense of humor ,these book got all that. So in my down lazy time I will be upstairs shoes off , reading . i should I sign the said: " Spell are in the slow cooker". And with a picture of a lazy chic!! Moving her Cauldron with her foot mean while she is reading her book.Cute Ha?
After all the year is almost done, no rush to do any spells !! Take it easy girls!!, kick off your shoes and just enjoy it while it last... we will be running like chicken with their head cut off pretty soon. So until we meet again , I'm just doing nothing , blessed be. Andrea.

Lights!!! and trees, and a train !

So fast so close to get the poor tree all clean-up. The is the sad thing , to see my beautiful tree out of gifts. I wish all my friends and family a happy day ,today is the real deal in Costa Rica, funny thing to know they read my blog shhssshhh , they wont tell a soul about it or comment in it!! but the all in my family keep up with my writing . Is good to know that we are in a world so connected and paste and glitter!! Im so done with the cookies. I just clean up Baba Yaga leftover cookies , she ate some , my youngest son Andrei didn't believe my story about her ,smart kid at 11 said ,And what about other peolpe that didn't left cookies for her, those kids where not snatch away !!!Whack him !!! That will make you believe hahha .
So we did our drive on a holiday street here last night ,I remember year ago the street wasn't not what it is today!! peolpe was walking to see all those decorations and elf's around , Santa, dears, stars , any thing the they could thing it is hung up on their roof. A smart family sell hot chocolate for those visitor , another really smart business guy got a train show!And "Toy story 3" movie, playing on a big screen , and his garage ;is a store; hot cider, hot cocoa, popcorn , that was my favorite house , I was laughing to see that , so cool was his garage and well done clean and neat , great job make! some money to pay for the high electric bill from his chu-chu train and all those 10000 lights.My husband's favorite house is the one with Menorah and lights all tangle in there, and said " Merry whatever" ,So their to the world! celebrate any thing you want! As long it makes you happy!!
These is the time to stay home, watch movies and drink hot tea. Finally our rainy days are gone !1 Sunny California is back and today is a glorious morning!! Love my day so full of good people ,love , my kids ,dogs and these magic in all of us!! Merry whatever!!! And be happy.

That is my favorite part of our open or closing ceremonies in our circle. And today just to think how many will be saying those words it gave me chills!! A friend of mine name Julie just told me today she is going to a yoga studio and they will be celebrating " Winter Solstice" with a 100 Sun salutations!!! . How nice is that.Love Julie my friend and sister in a spiritual level.
We ALL are united in a way ,in a spiritual way. The planet connect with us and us with the planet ,making a beautiful circle of energy, we can feel it as it is, friends around the world gather their energy's in a ritual and celebrating what is has being for thousand of years the "wheal of the year" .
I'm in love with full moon's these will be a lunar eclipse as well!!More to reconnect in energy forces and so perfect to be in our " yule"or winter Solstice . I will be celebrating it in my own way, connecting with the planet my family and sending all those special blessings to all the people that are "helpful spirits" . They are in a human form ,yes, but they can have almost the mystic veil around them, they talk with peace ,attract loving people, share their magic with others, and most of all take care of our souls. I have so many friends but those with those power !! are even greater to have. So these time of the year I just like to take Extra care of them, I have being so busy baking and making little things for my friends!! So busy that my blog has being neglected from these last week,
. Last year one of my close friends give me an ornament of a girl full with bags and is saying" Too much of the good things is !!WONDERFUL. So yes I have a full week of wonderful things, friends, family, love and baking cookies with my kids! that is all I really enjoy, home ,warm nights ,stay in too cold to go out!! And is raining like it never does!! here in San Diego.
My tree is so pretty full of meaningful ornaments, and no tree top! I decide these year to not put a thing up there , do you think anybody here will notice? Not it all !! the kids just look dawn to their future presents!! Is good to be a happy kid, is good to make magic for them , so these year and like any other year my tradition is the same, make my children a happy life!!!And don't forget to put some cookies out tonight for" Baba Yaga"She definitely loves her cookies and she will stop by !! And if you don't have any cookies ,she just may take the kids!! Power to the witch!

I m a witch!!! And proud Witch!!! . I have being chosen by the Goddess . I keep my self in tune with the planet my surrenders,my walk on these earth and to treat everybody as part of these planet. Blessings come always in different packages !! And I repeat to myself I'm bless ,I'm bless.
I got amazing people around me , my family my kids and other half . For them to have a Witch in their life is Blessing too! That is always said to me by my friends. Not they just say just because, they show me all the time their friendship to me, whenever they travel it will always something for me ,not just any gift , it will be a magical gift ,something they found on a walk a rock , a stone .Sometimes is thing for me to wear and so on.

One of my lovely friends is in the book business , so Before a book is at the store she will get it for me!! how cool is that !! And of course is all the witches books. Im not going to say her name for protection!! I protect all friends like her . She is a publisher and for that I will keep it quiet . But here is the thing. I get all those novels and Magical books galore!Bless her and keep her at her job! I will keep sending blessings to her for ever.
I just got a book that is going to rock for all of us!! I'm just telling you is so good! Im not even intro the full book but is good. Name...." The discovery of witches" , It will come out on February next year . Deborah Harkness .Amazon has it already post it ,but is not for sale yet.

The book industry is so big sometimes I think I need to never leave home and read and read so I can catch up!! Love spell books ,novel about witches and any old book the may look mysterious to me. Long time ago I was on the search of a very old witches book, so I will check on line and do phone calls, all that kind of things . Well I stop when I found out the those books are in a Medival language and sometimes, so dark and as a collector told me writing with blood !! O K that took care of me in my search !!! . I still believe there are old good books !!! with magic on them, If they suppose to come to me they will come , just like all these new books !! They just come because of what I call " The power of a witch"

One of my dreams is to finish my book that wrote , so far is still there waiting for me to continue , and you know as artist we get our own little drama and our art suffer all the consequences . I hope my own self kick my own butt one day and just do it !!.
" Season of the witch" movie is coming out ,and of course i will be there!!! And with my Nicholas Cage what else can a witch ask for, is all good and good. So let keep writing a page at the time. Goddess of ATC

I just got back from trip to my loved other Country, Costa Rica, Happy to have seeing my family and do a day trip to the Goddess land!!. I'm still tired jet-lag and you know ,we have to get back to our life's, our kids ,work and the daily things. My travel was as safe as always ,that is the good reason to be a little witch !!! Great travels come first in our intentions,them from that comes all the nicest things we can created to make a "Magickal trip".
My magickal trip will be written on later tomorrow!.

Witches Travel !!!

I m a firm believer on my craft!! of course, so I collect important things when I travel. Im very lucky to say I travel a lot or did ,lets see these new year ,who knows? . At every city that I go their is always a witchy store, so over the years i got a nice collection of these and that. Part of all is to remember the town or city I went o visit.

When I went to Alaska, love that place so magical , mystical, the energy around those cold mountains ,it brings back to the ancestors of the land, when the wind blow ,you can almost hear a song in your ear!!!! misty , but so beautiful. So at one of there town I found a young little witch!!! Love it .I guess I attract the energy of the Goddess ,is always easy for me to get to the right place. At the particular stores I got one of my favorites rings!!! Is a labradorite stone and it has being since then my " travel stone" i use the ring whenever I got in a plane and is such good feeling ring.
So Yes I m addicted to trinkets and magical stores , I went to New Orleans ,a couple years ago , did the same thing I always do, get as much tour's I can. The city has so much to see, you need a week just to visit all those cemetery and to hear each tour guide tell you all about ghost and lost souls !!! is so rich in all the matter and Vampires too . Marie Laveau's is an attractive tour, and to meet the High Priestess " Miss Miriam " at the Temple is something I recommended to all of my friends . You can go to see voodoo stores galore ! and to visit Miss Marie at the cemetery ,that is the highlight of the trip.
Before I got there I already new all her life ,read and study as much as I could !! you get chill when you see her tombstone, all the people the come to her site to ask for favors and petitions,and me and all the gift the people brings is really something!! Her energy still feels so strong in her shop and around her house. Yes there is at lot to see in there , don't worry about the city, is a mess just ignore all the crazy things around.

And there is always a new place to go, Salem of course is my all time favorite ,wonder why, visit Laurie Cabot and go to her store !!The cat ,the crow and the crown . Is a really cute store ,and of course to visit our sister's in town!! bring flowers for the past ones at the Salem witch memorial.

So there is Europe too and the Mayan pyramids that I tough I was going to die to get there but I will just keep it in sections so you can read all in little bites !!! small and with a cup of coffee and keep coming for some more . I will post some more about that after next week, today I'm flying and going away to Costa Rica with labradorite ring "protection for the travelers" .

Old wife's tales !

I have to fly away these week, So because of that I have being so efficient in so many ways!!! And I like that. When I got so much time I take my time for every thing, sometimes that is a good thing but others are not such good thing. The best part of going away for a few days is my own personal challenge. Keep all things running around my life, that is kids dogs and my man. Then is my work ,after that is play time !! no is the other way ,first play them work or something like that. I m going to visit my Mom for a day only( is perfect) and after the one day, I will be in business trip with my brother and his family,that is the best part. So OK here is the real deal, growing up, back in my old country and my lovely Mom ,she was so cool yes back them , she tough me so much about the craft! Yes our witchcraft, she didn't know she was one, but she was one and a really good witch !!and a great healer too!!. Sadly today she is in a different believe, and know she is a noon practitioner!!! Why ? is always my question. She is my Mom in all and all I do love her ,but I m not allowed to said a thing about the good old days. She always said " Don't said that any more! " . I lost the interest to even sit and talk to her,yes is not good but is true. How can some one change the way she grew to something else. She said is because she finally found God . And I said OH MY GOD, she wont laugh any more ,every thing is bad and bad ,birth days , Mothers day, Christmas ,new years ,and everything that is like some kind of fun . She knows why I wont stay at her house , I don't deal with her Guilt's, Im maybe a little too hard about that .We understand each other so well at the same time, we just accept each other just that way we are. But still I just love to tease her about her call "old believes" . I said some smart comment like " Mom do you still sweep the house backwards to bring good luck ?" She will answer : "no; now I know it was just old wife tales!!
I do like old wife's tales ,I always enjoy then so I'm going to name a few of all the "Old wife's tales that my Mom told me when I was just a little girl .

1) To bring money and good luck to your home swept your home from the front of the house to the back!! Keep all dirt together .It represent the future money!.


2) Keep house plants well taking care , check any shapes that they may show!! Something like a number ,and play it in the lottery!!

3) If you need a husband , put San Antonio up side down!!! He wont like that but he will bring some one soon !! Then you can put San Antonio back to normal.

4) If you lost something, call San Antonio for help !!! My Dad still does it just to annoy my Mother " Antonio ,Antonio!!!

5) To stop the breast milk got a river and cut some leaves from around there ! Brush them on your breast and trow them away and the river will take away the milk!!! Yeap! She said she did it and that is for real!!

6) Want o meet the Devil go to the same river ,pick again some leaves,now you need to now how to swim for these one !!! get those leaves and trow them at the river, one of the leaves is going to run opposite of the river-flow , get it and he will show!!! How my Mom know that ? I don't know :)

7) Put a red cord at the right arm of a new born to prevent the evil eye! from all new visitors.

8) In thunder storm trow knives at the front door!!! It will keep the storm away from where you are!!

9) For a kidney infections put salt on your belly and keep it there with some tape!!!

10) Keep a glass full of water by your bed! there may be a thirsty spirit around ,and will protect you from further harm !!

11) pregnant!!! Do not drink young coconut milk! it can bring the baby sooner then you want!!

OK and what about today's thing with bottles of water, our poor spirits! they better learn to open those too!!!
Cultures are a beautiful thing and we should pass it on to our next generation!Just the same way they were told to us ,from our Grandma to the other and so on!!!


any way is just my thing for now ,I will be with my Mami on Sunday and I wold love if she just stop praying for me, like she Tell's me all the time , "oh Honey I will pray for you" I told her Yesterday 'Don't please "I told her there are really scary things out there! Im not one of those" and she said" I know"
Yes I know is the typical Mom always worry for her kids! I worry about my kids too!! And then I will go and bless a candle for them , Bless my Mama I love her no matter what! she is my Mama. Blessed be Andrea.

Fly me to the moon!!

Lets fly away ,lets fly ,lets fly!! Frank Sinatra songs,they are so inspiring for any woman in love or a Witch! ,So listening to him ,I can do so much, Today has being such busy busy day, yoga, art, call people, get back to my tree, oh! go to the post office; mail things:) ,busy but productive. I m working on so many things right now.Those little things that make our life so beautiful. My very old Christmas tree is up and glowing, the things I remember putting the lights up there, friends from the past that are gone in another place , new friends. My kids one year got the flu so bad the nothing will make them smile,not even the presents that where waiting under these tree, I was these year thinking to get a new fancy one since I said I was tired to hang lights around .And get one with the lights already in there and all the blink blink ready, like opening an umbrella Voila there is the tree!! .Went to so many stores to see the display of different trees, I din;t like any.So I m here with my good and faithful Christmas tree.Did all the lights and sing some songs ,kids helping !! These is my tree !! how can I ever get rid of these "Beautiful tree", Lights are glowing blink blink,not ready completely ,so far it has one ornament,Uno nada mas, so far .But is the most important one, is the one to open these season. Years ago at one of my art classes that I sign up for, my art instructor give me these ornament. He being a wizard ,loves witches of course!!. Yes the same ornament from the picture, Imaging that I was the only wish at our entire class. Facts are facts I m always the only witch wherever I go ,except at our witches meetings of course. Where are those little witches !! Hanging on a Christmas tree!! Merry winter days my friends !! Let the Goddess of the snow bring some to you!! These is just the beginning of our 'Yule" and winter days. I will be sewing, painting,dancing doing yoga and rituals too!! and challenging my to make these month the best to finish these year.Blessed be !!Andrea.

Spell me !!Please ...

The day are getting so short now,is 5;30 and is already night here in California.I'm so cold but I ma enjoying the weather!! The holiday will be here so soon. I have being busy in so many levels, My practice of magick is daily,my work to pay my bills( Doing Hair) . And doing my art of course (finishing the ornaments).
All is at same time is one thing ,yes is all part of me in my world, my vision and my reality.
Aine on her Blog talk about spell work.We can go for days and talk about these special subject. Being a "Practical witch" we need to practice these ,is part of who we are is the" Witch way".

Witch way!! ,yes !,is our way or no way right that is how I use to thing at the beginning of my journey,until years of hitting the same rock on the same toe ,and all the pain I got for not paying attention! .Fanny how hard we have to get to ourselves, sometimes to really get it
But is part of all the unfolding proses.
Spells ,Some people always ask me ,: if somebody do some thing to you, how do you react?,do you put a spell on them ? or a curse. Them I have to tell them about the " Do not harm none" .And them some will say " Oh if I will be a witch man!! they will get it" . I like to teach people spells of love. They work so good for any body and that will keep them so busy enjoying the good things and no time to do harm to any one.
I got a story: A few years ago I have a great friend at work, we have kids the same age did the same things together, until one day she marry a guy from a Online site that she meet , and she was crazy about him, so fast the I could believe it. Well we didn't get alone anymore, I didn't like her new Man and the things around her life where just not good. Well we finish our friendship in not a good way.(She did) , So OK the terrible part was the "Harm" she wants to create for me. So I Send her so much love and happiness from her husband, I send her lots of success ,that way she will forget about me and stop giving me troubles and get busy in her own life . So it did the spell work ,she was gone ,out of my life and happy. From time to time I will get some news from her from a common friend and will tell me how well she was doing. I was happy for her and for me.
Now after so many years I just hear she is back single and was asking " how I was doing" to a friend, she send me her love. That is the best spell I have done !.Blessed them and let them go.

So I keep practicing my craft ,like a good witch,some times I don't need to do any spell ,so I call my friends and check on them,their is always some one in need of o good "witch".

Being a witch!

I m planning to keep doing something fun again in the next months .
Is always nice to have little sisters visiting and please park your broom under that tree!! keep the pointy shoes on, we will have some hot cider and some goodies!!.

The weather is perfect to do a spell!! Cold cloudy ,love it .I probably will sew some more ,you can not believe how cute the ornaments are looking. I have to hurry up and send them these week.Blessed be .

Free ornaments!!!

These year maybe is me or is the entire world But is Christmas here or what!!? Maybe is the comforting and happy energy that these season brings to the entire world.Maybe is the thing that makes people forget the unhappy economy? Maybe ,maybe, I have quick trip to visit my family in Costa Rica,Is a short trip ,but is good enough for me,so I'm getting things ready for them and going from store to store.Parking lots are full, stores are pack,I don't remember seeing these madness so early in the season. And of course the music ! they are playing all those Christmas carols that makes us thing," Did I miss the Thanksgiving" . They are jumping from one day to another holiday. So I think by the time the real day is here we will be so tire of all the music and peolpe around pushing carts and waiting to check out.
I start my decorating yesterday, and happy to feel the cold weather ,so Make soup ,and got some items out of the box. Yes it feels like Christmas ,I love these days ,dark and all I want to do is stay home drink tea and coffee have cookies and sit at my sewing machine . That is my favorite music when I at home. The constant tac tac ,send' s me back when was my mom at her sewing table and me under the pedal.
I'm making lots of things these days,the regular thing my friends buy from me ( fashion wear) Designs by " Goddess Andrea" and there I come to explore more just for the state of mind to keep my kids warm. So yesterday was "pajama day" ,I made PJ's for all my kids .My kids love homemade things just like me. When you grow in a home with a sewing machine is really a blessing all the things that come from there. Bless my Mama from being my teacher in the aspect . She is a great seamstress and now almost haft blind ,but still is her only happy moment to sit there and sew a little bag or any little thing for the grand kids.
Im still planing to make some ornaments for my tree. I got some that I have made over the year's and them we don't like them any more,but I still keep them. So I got so much done and happy with my self to see my little ones not so little any more ,wearing their Mama creation.
It was a very productive day, and it feels good when we fix what we need in our souls too.
stitches fix our soul too that is how I see it. These week I will put my old fake tree and will take a week to get it the way I like it. But is a start ,and will enjoy all my journey's on these Holidays!!!

Yule abundance spell's

I got a book last year ,not a good one, but it Tell's me about what moon sign we are. So today we are with a Taurus moon. That is good for me being a Taurus .But also is good for all of us it bring grounding!! and good roots,like a good Taurus you most always communicate with our mother Gaea. All the nurturing she does for all of us ,rain, food that grows in our land or gardens,flowers ,rivers, so much we will never end! Yule time is coming before we know is on top of us .Honor mother Gaia ,feel her breeze, hug a tree ,and lets take a walk on a cold day. I can' wait to decorate my house and my Tree!!. I love Faeries ( ???) like crazy! so last year my house on yule was all about them on the tree ,stairs, garden!! So I went these week to find more Faeries ornaments!!! I found some more,I was o happy that I can't wait for not even the next month,so I already put them out on my chandelier .They are so happy up there.I told my son"Andrei" Honey look they are flying ,he say " NOTTT" . Kids ! They forget Mom is still a kid.
So at the book I got the wonderful spell for Yule. Get some Holly leafs, one for each member of the family ,and a gold pen, write each person's name on the leaf with the golden pen .Thread a needle with a red string. Thread one by one of the leafs with the red string. When all the leafs are in the red thread.Say" May we be bound with love and good wishes,and prosper in the new year!! so blessed be! hang it on a tree in or out.Those blessings are the knot in every home.Now I got projects to make for these holidays, more to make. I want; home made ornaments, fill with love and passion for my life, my kids home ,and my friends! Peace and love is already the new season!!! Blessed be my friends. Altars

Altars !!That is my favorite thing!! I feel like a dog! a walk in the park my favorite thing, back rub! my favorite thing, Altar cloth my favorite thing . Well Altars have so much from us in there ,is like our home made soup.We blend all those magical ingredients and no matter what it comes out, is what we need. I start back with embroidery over 10 year ago creating and reclaiming my creativity and spirituality.The best form for me is the fabrics!! Being an Embroidery artist that was so perfect for me. Fabric is such spiritual form,the collecting them, creating and transforming a piece of cloth in to a" holy altar cloth" . So before I new I got some clients where asking me for them ,to see it touch them,them Christmas came , and all of them want one, and that was my first sale!!! I sold spiritual cloths . Some of my clients ask for Goddesses like mine, some will say do you have Buddha, so I make some with Buddha, some Egyptians or Asian , Some got different symbols,pagans ,Jews, or even Christians. Others for different petition, marriage blessings, divorces, health, business abundance!!! I made it all. So I want to share some with all of you. I still make them ,any size any form any prayer. What ever we need I can transform it with fabric ,stitches and prayers!! .
But here is a story for you about my art: We got a " witches store" here in town , took me like a year to get a meeting with their owner (not a pagan) funny haha, so he order some, I was so happy to finally be in my favorite witches store!! " Lady of the lake" . So after the purchase was done I stop to see my art hanging or maybe on a altar!! No they where not any where ;SO ask the employee" what is going on ? He said the owner didn't want to put them as "Altar cloth" ?? OK not my business but, yes is my magic in there,and being at show. So finally they sold them all ,with my signature and all that blink blink!!. I don't sell him any more my art ,If he don't understand how spiritual these is for us he can keep going with made in china prints on fabric. So here is one for you my friends , These Buddha is now in some one!! special home receiving candles ,incense and blessing their home every day.Ask me if you would like one too for yule or any other pagan celebration!! Witches Garden!

I read in a book some thing like you know you are a witch when..." A different rose " grow in your garden and you didn't plant it or if red geraniums grow wild... Well I can name a lot of things that grow out in my garden and I didn't plant it!!So let start these new thing "What is you and your garden growing" .
Yesterday I was waiting for a friend of mine, outside at my little front garden, and the first thing I notice was a lot of mint!! ,Mint is growing every where. Last year my sister gave a plant of mint so " I know" I put it in a container because, the plant is a runner .She runs every where. But No!!( Mint) she decided to explode seeds!!All over, and send them to my garden, so , Last year I took the plant out ,all of them and dry it in little bunches to make tea and facials and bath staff, so guess what>> she is back and is telling " Mama I'm growing here and I m not going away" . So any one needs some mint!! Let me know! Then was the Thyme ! My oh my ,she is persistent little plant. Taste really good on beans and meats .Any one needs some thyme? Let me know. So the wild roses came one day, I know !! they have deep roots and are hard to pull so I call my Honey and ask for help. "what plant he ask? The Rose; I said . " why " he ask, I told him that" she was an invited guest ". Husband said " them let her grow,she likes it here" . So she is still here and is extending her roots. Remember in Practical Magic those roses that just grow overnight ,we got them too.And no I didn't kill anybody ,no that I know.
So have you ever walk in your garden and see a plant that you didn't plant?. I always blame the Owls or other birds! they eat they poop !! I get it!!
My Garden is little but is full of live! A lizard lives there and the other day she change her outfit to a new size!! I guess she is getting bigger,needs bigger skin!So she left me the old skin right in between my roses, nice ,so I hang her skin out in front of the house and I called it a " Protection charm".

Yesterday I took my son Andrei and his friend to a Renaissance fair. We always want to go, but we miss it always because is around Halloween. So these year we plan it and go!! The last day was Sunday!!So we got ready!! Dress-up yuhuuuu!!! here we go again " another" Halloween day" with costumes and a bag of cash ready to buy something we didn't need. So we park under those ancient trees full of moss ,the air was sweet and fresh from those rains before. Just when we got out the car we see all these people with clothes back from my great great gram ma day's . Andrei didn't put his costume at home ,he was waiting to see if I was the only crazy lady dress-up! Wrong !! Faeries, friars, wizards, Ice queen's ,peasants, pirates,and who knows what they are where there! .Of course he put on his costume right away!! . Pay to get in ,you can hear music all aver the camp! yes that is was the right word " camp" They got hundreds of tents with things to buy, old world shirts ,skirts, booby push-ups.Never sow so many women with there breast out! You know they sell all those corsets!! and every girl with big chest got one! Scary!I told the kids just don't look, they didn't care ,the where in a hunt for pirates toys and daggers and things the hurt! .So we first stop to see a Theater and be part of the good all day telling story's. That was fun,the jester man and his jester dog run the show as easy can be,I guess he has done show for a list haft of his life.Kids are part of the show ,parents help and cheer the play, that was really good experience for my little ones the learn how was in all those years watch and listen sitting on a stack of hay.
After the show it was time to shop ,kids favorite part ,went to every tent, touch every poppet and toy, dog's costumes, flags around,little girls with magic wands! We walk every corner of the fair, them we found the Gypsy site! with sign about 'Beware of the gypsy ,kids welcome' They have palm readers ,cards readers, gypsy wagon's .I think I even see Anna(Frosted Petunias) in there!! I wold love to have a gypsy cart for my house in Halloween. Of course the kids want to go every where .But I told them no we don't need readings " Mom can do it"" So keep walking ,got to see so many camps out the! The Irish , Vikings, Queen Elisabeth was there with her king. I ask was going there, all these tents and people sleeping in there, and believe me they are really leaving AP to the 1500's no showers, the park has restrooms thank Goddess! So I hear they are there for a week twice a year all of them come and park there staff and the fair is on!! .I have to first get pictures out of my phone to put them here! ,we got a picture of the kids and Merlin ,we visit his Grotto!! Cute and enchanting of course that was our favorite one!! Member's only!! Hey A little wizard and witch !! we can get in any where! .Man out there still are doing sword fighting and old games with stones to trow around! My Kids have a magickal day full of imagination and toy to get!. Definitely it was our first one ! and we will go again Next year ,When the gypsy's are in town!!

Wind!!

Today we are having some Magickal whether, It was sunny in the morning feeling good then about 1pm some dark clouds just show up and stay there all day!. I love clouds and mystical rains.And you know, people in California with one day of rain , mist or clouds they all freak out and call it a bad day! But I just think is the perfect time for spell's ,and blessings. To connect with my beautiful Goddess and burn some nice candles and incense !. Well today it didn't rain but the energy was so perfect, cools off people and calm those crazy ones out there! I have a big window at work and I can see the effect the whether creates on people, sometimes too hot makes them cranky ,too cold they get scare like a trap mouse .And if it is just right ,they get out there cages and smile and talk to strangers!! Get a pedicure or just a walk out in the park! It is a Bliss!! and I love to see the wind-Magick! Just like Mary Poppins ,she came on a windy day because wind it is the source for " things are going to change".So today I decide is time to get warm!no just with a sweater, but internal with good toughs! warmly feelings for all my friends and family,my sister have being sick for the last couple days and kind of tired from not getting the house that she was trying to buy. So I told her That I will give her Ganesha !!,because she is that one that remove obstacles .And she did so much for me. So I give her my perpetual faithful Ganesha, she did at lot of obstacle removing for me in the past and even today. I learn to get out of my own way!!Big lesson for me. So back to the good thinking! And kind of funny how just like that! I got some instant good karma ,someone at work give a shoulder massage and pour some aromatherapy oil on me, HUM-MM !!! That was good ,them I went out for coffee since it was so cold and need some yummy warm drink.After I order the coffee ,The Barista ,ask me " Would you like some free drinks? I say Yes of course !! and got 4 FREE lattes! from the coffeehouse, So I ask 'Why" And said they where trying out a new coffee ,wow!! I took all those free coffees Give more tip for the guys !! and brought it to my friends at work, and all of us got warm and happy!!!. It is funny how our own Magick works so fast!!! So I do hope My Ganesha helps my sister too ! So Blessings , Candles ,Goddesses ,Gods and Good toughs!! brings more for all of us!! Car Blessings!

I m today just sad , just because I think too much. These is my daughters last year in high school ,she is a senior .Sad to think how I can manege to not have my little girl around me! I even cry just to think about was in not here yet!, Yea sounds silly but as a Mom they are always our baby's. I m shaking my magic wand for some advise" tell me ,tell me" will I be Ok ,I know she will be fine. I sage her car the other night ,something I do from time to time,Ask the Goddess to protect her all the time and Yes!! The Goddess have being our savior . Last month Ashley was volunteering for some Homeless church. She was there every evening feeding people,that was require as a college application.The idea of her driving so far was scary for me ,but she is really self secure ,smart little girl ,so just like that she was going, I burn candles asking for protection every night when she was out. One evening she call me ,I new right away something was not rigth, she got in a an accident on the freeway, crash her car on the wall couple of times her air bag went out and she was fine,scare but fine, she call the police first; them me; I have to ground my little girl and tell her "honey just breath just breath you are ok ,thank Goddess you are OK ". Her car was a total lost damage ,but she was fine who care's about car's .That night after her Dad got her from the hospital ,regular check-up they say,Then we both cry for what she experience, the images in her mind was so vivid that keep her up all night and I was there for her. So that is my worry when she will be gone ,will she be ok , can I just go there when she needs me. I can go all day with my crying thing. So I just keep saying thank you thank you!! Ashley has Great!!Karma she walk away in a accident thanks to Divine helpers! Call them angels, faeries, companions, grandpa , and all those spiritual beings that are always there when we need them the most ,So Today and every day I m thankful .
I will keep sagging her car and my car and my husband's car is a good ritual to do every full moon! And keep and incense stick in your car with all these heat will the aroma stay there and be a reminder of the blessings we get every day! And recognized it! . All my Halloween decor is back in boxes. Sad to say the next thing is the Christmas season, Is too soon for that so I won't even think about it.In the mean time lets talk about good and fan things! Well today my friends and I, did a fundraiser for a orphanage in Tijuana. We make 100 little kids blankets !! it was fan and is good to catch up with my long not seeing friends.We even have a baby there , and what a precious baby, they are so cute ! until they learn to talk and tell about all the things Mom did or didn't do hm, No wonder that famous line" I will get you my little pretty " was invented !So we all finish those cute blankets and eat our lunch and those will be a nice gift for Christmas for all those little ones!.
My Altar is ready for a new theme, fairies, gnomes,wizards,witches,gardens, feathers, I think I have done every thing so I just keep simple (for Today) Candles crystals and cards . Did my favorite tarot set" Enchanted Tarot" I pull the five pentacles , say i will get some money! Hope nobody die! I will fell really bad .And since i sold my business and got the money last month ,I don't think is about that. In the mean time I will just work as much I want to play with my kids and cook some magick,and we will see what else the Goddess will bring . And for my new friends let me tell you I just sold my Hair Salon of 16 years.I m so happy not to run up and down being the boss, now I just take care of my clients ,at the same salon,just not being the owner,Amen sisters!!that is what I call "practical magick" Being practical!.And Let me tell you , is the best thing in life, live ,love, laugh!! I m so thankful the Goddess bless me and my family in every way! I m today sending blessing to all of you burning Sweet grass my favorite for after the holidays !and for a new and clean path . The Life of the Witch

Dia de los muertos!

Yes we still got one more day to celebrate, In Costa Rica we don't Halloween we have dia de los muertos .My mom use to sell Coronas para los muertos. She was so talented and the entire little town,they all make sure to order the flowers from her with plenty of time .She was book! and my part was any paper the hit the floor was my, so I was under the table cutting paper crepe and doing little flowers for my dead pets.My sister and I got our pet cemetery. And we keep it cute and with flowers all year round.We move to another house so all our pets stay there, of course,how sad but we build a new one after the rabbit die, and them a cat ,another kitty ! so before we new: here is another pet cemetery!I always tell my kids the things i did as a kid ,but it was in another land far far away with plenty of land for kids and pets to play.We did celebete dia de los muertos and I always hid under the covers. My mom use to tell us; the dead will come as a light on the night and the just creepy me out . For one thing the people cemetery was just behind our house,and it was a port for souls to come and go.I survive my own child hood by a miracle ! Those days is was funeral almost every day and me and my sister never miss one . We even cut flowers for the newly dead ,no didn't new them ,but we knew "told by my mom" the new dead people will love to have flowers around.
So I don't have pet cemetery at home, the city won't be happy with me .And all my pets have being big dogs ,so just can't do the same,but I keep their ashes and lit a candle for them ,and give them some food and maybe a dog treat.
I got only an Owl bear in my back yard ,he was one of the magickal ones!! He got kill one night ,never knew how or who did such terrible thing , he was found by some neighbors who believe every owl in the planet it belongs to me,so they call me to pick him up.That was the saddest thing ! So took him and give him my love and tears! and did a beautiful funeral ritual with one of my friends. we send him blessings and told to keep an eye on the rest of the pack!. He is still there with a stone and date ! It will be 2 years next month ! So I m still here building on my own little pet cemetery's for real.Blessings to all our dead pets and I hope nobody will ever shoot one of my owls! Lovingly peace to them,Andrea.

Sisters!!

The EVE is Here!! The so much wait for day is just a few hours away,Im so happy you came to my house is nice in here! Put your broom right there yes" Broom parking" I got the sign in Salem . I will tell my sisters in Salem have fun and tonight and tomorrow too! My friend Laurie is so busy these time of year ,just like any little witch!.Calling spirits , setting altars, attending party's around the country ,and broom flight's .
.The Goddess bless me in so many levels ,and one of those blessing is my baby ,today he is 11 years old. He was born the night before Halloween ,and that is part of the magic in my house .We celebrate all month of October his Birth day and All hallows eves too. The practical magic the we created together is amazing. We is my little wizard, who loves the holiday as much like I do,and loves and is proud that his Mom is Witch!
The house will be haunted tomorrow( always is) but he will be in charge of hiding and spooking other little ones! and giving candy's that is the best part!But tonight he is with his friends and Mom's at a witch party! calling my ancestors and giving them tea! you're welcome!. And thanks for being part of my yearly tea party! Andrea's Essex Party will continue until tomorrow past midnight.So leave your offering food for you ancestors outside or at your altar, bring a nice candle and tell them how much you care for them.They can come to your response and drink the tea,maybe they will answer a prayer!. Just walk outside breath the fresh air of the night and listen to what they have to say.trust me close your eyes vision your Great ma, or a friend, feel the air the cold breeze and enjoy your moment with them...

For some people owls are just a pest, for me Im just like Harry Potter, they are my messengers, always up at night keeping an eye open while I m sleeping! My House is the freak house at my neighborhood , I remember one night I got home to find at lot of neighbors sitting on my front sidewalk looking at " My owls".My smart kids where saying: Mom we should sell lemonade and make some money from them" fanny kids ha ! So back to the night .That is a regular night for me ,my public viewers sitting there amaze at the screech of the owls! Big deal I though I hear that every night.But one of the spectators came to me and ask: 'Why is only at your house that theses owls hang about? that is interesting,well I said I like them and they like me, I said , So she said I can like them too and they will come to my house? well.. is more like an energy field I told her ,I created these circle of energy and they follow me.She never look at me after that day. I wonder why?
In the mean time many years that I live here many little owls are born at my roof, we listen to them ,we keep on the stage of how old the owls are and, how long they will stay with mom and Pa .My family is the Owl Pro know it all,some others are trying to bring them around to get read of mice, I don't have any mice it all ,they don't like artificial grass,oh but my Owls love my family and my kids the talk to me and scream at me some times about why with the fake grass and so. they can bitch too. Tonight they are right on top of my computer room, I always told my kids the owls dance the cha- cha ,so the kids will said sometimes ' Mom they are dancing the cha-cha again.Some nights they just crazy and flip those wings and screech and fuss ,that means is dinner time and they got something. One day a neighbor came to my house and told my husband that "our owls ate her cat" how and wow !!? I said , I don't know but I guess my owls are so strong to take a cat away ,I don't think so.But when the little ones are in training is fun to watch and that is what makes people to come and stair at my house (Sally Owens house ) so the try to fly but is really low, and keep an eye up, you may end up with a rat at your head. We have to clean up for them , mouse beetles haft way eating ,not nice!!. But they are so magical the are part of my energy and scream at me even when I can't see then. They are call the silent fly t , you only see them but can't hear their wings ,just like a Halloween night in a movie that is my house any night of the year!. Please come and sit with me and have some Midnight margaritas ,they will sing for as , and fly around . Tonight they where so cute I went out and Mom and Papa where right on top of my roof and with those big eyes looking down at me,so I say " hi mama ,hi papa" they did their magical swim up in the air together and the both screech " Happy Halloween!! Love my magical house! And still some people don't believe on witches, you can always know.Just ask her about her owls!!

Visitors!!

They are here!! today early morning while I was asleep still,I could hear my husband calling one of the kids from top of the stairs ! "Andrei, Andrei" Man he was loud! I though he forget that he had and early computer class.But is was Tuesday not Wednesday 's.So I was awake now, and not that ready to start the day, it all.So I ask him" why are you calling him so early? He answer :"The TV is on downstairs,he probably left it on all night", I said ;" no he didn't ,I went to the kitchen at the witching hour for some warm milk and check on things and every thing was off" ,"them I don't know" . Of course I know" we got visitors!!!! I have being waiting, and you know my food around the altar and outside the house to keep welcoming all my ancestors!!
But last night was different, I could hear the wind blowing, so check for windows open, nothing .I could swear i hear someone washing there hands upstairs.So went to check if some one was up.Never mind I tough is my imagination and all my Halloween spirit going on.So I went to bed! I took me long to fall asleep ,it just to much going on.So today I got my answer! Remember my pumpkin pie!! well it was Grandpa's favorite! And how I could forgot all about it and not left him a piece at the altar, how rude of me. It was him, I was at my yoga class today and could smell him around, his smile around his energy still around us, I bet he even went to school to see the kids!. He was the best Grandpa in the world!. He is happy now I gave him his pie.Enjoy it Grandpa!But please don't mess up with the TV . Make my husband crazy! Poor honey he said " I thing we have little people TV" That is good for him! Rain rain !!

I love these weather, is raining and cozy at home, the perfect day for a big pot of soup! Yum. My garden is so happy with all these water pouring down from heavens.Do to be a Good witch, I most tent my garden! and bless my herbs then cut some to put in my soup.Is so much to do these days ,but it is the best time to do those things,pumpkin pie,warm witches soups,bread for the dead,house decor!1 and grave yards to dig!.These is when I enjoy even more to read "The mist of Avalon" and be my self the Lady of the lake!! Her knowledge and the use of it is inspiring.Love the part on the movie when she cuts the mist and there,there is Avalon!Waiting for the Goddess and High priestess. the magic of the island,was never taken for granted .And so even on any day I transfer myself there,at the Magical Island.The place where every force evolve from the Divine! Yeah that is my Samhain in every way, every day. We can all go and be in Avalon serving our Goddess,chanting her songs and planting with our hands our magic garden. My creations are always stronger when I put Avalon here with me.I m enjoying my soup and saying thank you Goddess for the art of cooking and make my big cauldron bubble and bubble. And so that is done like magic, now is time for the Pumpkin pie.But I will look for an ancient recipe, that maybe makes the dead rise... and have tea with me and talk about the good all times.Wish the Spirits sit long enough so i can fell them talking to me.And tell a story or two ...Grandma is that you... I knew you will be here these week, have a sit ,we have so much to talk...

Full moon!!

Harvest Moon,The moon before the dark,hunter's moon,those are the names of these magical full moon today!! Tonight we will see her shining and smiling ,showing her grand splendor ! Oh how magnificent she is. And the secrets the she keeps. Tonight is the Halloween moon! Yes , one more week of celebration, I start my holiday in the entire month of October , the air is fresh and crisp! and there is lots of things to get done. Lots of spells to write, lots of friends readings to do, but most important ,to reconnect with the ones already transform in spiritual beings.One of my spiritual mentors pass a few years ago,I miss her a lot, the good ones dye young .True, and sad! So I always reconnect with her and know how happy she is at her new place her new spiritual life.They get a new call a new journey ,and we should accept it,may not an easy thing but is the reality of life.
But enough of sad things ,so every time a crow comes to sing his song around it may be a message from our friend, I get them all the time.So I keep offering to them food and wine,fruits and tea!!! So put a cup of tea for any of your love ones ,if is a cat put some warm milk outside tonight, some one will drink it! trust me. And if is dog put some treats too!! I got some of my pets pictures at my altar,so cute to see them in our happy days. I will be flying my broom tonight to visit a few friends tonight, look up at the full moon and who knows you may see me or one of my sistas flying in front of the moon! witch bottles!

Is a witch day with all these beautiful rain!! Blessings to our Earth and air! Cleaning our environment ,is a cleansing rain.Don't we wash our cloth and make it fresh just as our house. Mother Earth Gaia know more them us; So there she is cleaning and washing the bad vibes! just in time for our favorite day!Samhain! Is the only night the we witches can fly.And of course only members of THE Black Hat Society. thank Goddess! I just renew my membership! Not easy to get.Select members only!!
So in order to get my rituals for my Samhain I make Witches bottles today:0 Im trying to catch a frog with these rain> So my bottles are something special ,my youngest kids is such a wizard ! he make the best bloodiest things ever,we fill our Altar #13(,we got a few around the house). we got a stack on mugwort, dead man toes,Valerian root,and my favorite Devils shoe strings!! Just to keep enemys far( they know better) So after we got our bottles well label and next to my voodoo dolls ,we ask the Goddess of rain to bless us .After that we bake cookies for the dead and live friends too! I just love these whether. Why so many people think these is a bad whether,well they got it all wrong. Hot whether and sunny is not so good for " Faeries,witches, werewolf's, vampires, and humans !! Yeap humans : Dry out the skin , make you older ,tired ,skin cancer HELL is all bad news ,so let's get it clear , Please pray for rain!! And keep our planet a little be Greener! for once.And enjoy it ! these won't last. Ok my friends ! I got more spells to prepare before midnight ,there is a nasty spirit around that Im going to get!!!!

Getting there!!

Halloween should be a all year round holiday!!. I need more days to play with my broom. I went to Salem ,two weeks ago( yeah I will post my pictures too) and I got these cute cute sign " Broom Parking" and it has the witches shoes hanging on the side.So I got my specials broom's next to it.I use my broom's all the time,sometimes emergency flits come up!! you never know!Lots of meetings with my sistas of magic! Today I decide to start my flight with my Hair. So is Orange and Black of course! what else but those 2 colors on this month.My Altar is flickering lights of the spirits that are passing by. Yeah but I got my Guardian spirits that only let the nice ones in!! Full moon is next week, so is easy to see the shadows of them at nite! LAst nite they woke me up around Midnght ,so ask " what ,what? Im sleeping!! So I listen, came downstairs and found the worry thing about my Guardian,I left a candle burning and forgot all about that !! So I put it out and say;thank you, thank you!!
We all need our good spirits to be there in every moment,I call them constantly and is not a Halloween thing is a " Witch thing" .May you call you own spirits tonight to bring calm and peace and protection to you and all in your home .

Witchy Art

Today I m in the mood for some paint. So I start to collect all my paint brushes and art supply to find out, how Rude our kids can be; yes they use every thing but they wont clean it up. All my good brushes are hard and full of old paint. Would that stop me from my art ,no way ,no how, I clean them up and start my new project. I m on the process of a nice art piece.thank Goddess we got art media .I m pasting ,printing ,painting ,all in my canvas!! and enjoying these windy day. All Hallows eve is not here yet ,but I m planning a lot of good things . My friends on my blog are inspiring me about my all time favorite movie" Practical Magic" A good thing to practice is to be practical. Took me 40 years to get there and I m loving it!! . I practice my art my " Craft" my spells and snap ; that is what Mary Poppins said; snap and the magic is there. So I m in the practical magic space . Yes it will be a Party!!! And of course will be on Magick!! What else is on life ,if We don't ad the finishing touches to our world... So here is from me to you !! my all hallows eve altar is ready today for them, I welcome them and honor our path! My kids honor their Grandpa! who we still miss so much after all these years! So there is our only day when the doors are open for them to come " Halloween".
